The management of NAWARO® BioEnergie AG combines strategic expertise, technical know-how, and practical implementation capabilities. Together, we have led the company for many years as a reliable partner for industrial bioenergy and renewable molecules—with experience, responsibility, and foresight.
Felix Hess
Owner and President
Felix Hess is a graduate engineer and business economist. Before co-founding NAWARO®, he worked for over 18 years at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, most recently as Senior Partner with responsibility for the industrial sector. In February 2005, he founded NAWARO® BioEnergie AG with the goal of producing biomethane on an industrial scale and leveraging economies of scale.
His extensive experience in plant engineering, the energy sector, and transformation projects continues to shape his strategic leadership to this day.
Markus Wild
Director
Markus Wild is a graduate economist with many years of experience in the energy sector. Prior to two extended international assignments in offshore wind, he spent many years in senior management at a transmission system operator, where he helped shape its strategic development toward green gases.
At NAWARO®, he is responsible as Director for project development, energy marketing, and partnerships. His experience in the gas market, large-scale infrastructure, and project development benefits NAWARO® today.
Martin Stein
COO
Martin Stein is a graduate engineer and welding engineer. He has more than 20 years of experience in bioenergy—from biomass processing to biodiesel and biogas production to logistics. He has progressed through all key positions: production, analytics, technical and project management, project development, production management, and various officer functions.
As COO, he is responsible for all operational matters, both in project development and existing infrastructure. In his role as operations manager, he oversees the BioEnergie Park “Klarsee” and ensures that plant operations run safely, efficiently, and with continuous optimization. His technical expertise, combined with clear operational leadership, is critical to our plant performance.
Dr. Eckhard Pratsch
Senior Advisor
Dr. Eckhard Pratsch will support NAWARO® BioEnergie AG as Senior Advisor. The legal scholar with a doctorate and former mayor of the city of Halle has decades of experience in site development, approval processes, agricultural structures, and municipal and private construction.
As a long-standing executive, he brings deep knowledge of regional frameworks, stakeholders, and development strategies and will advise and support management on strategic issues related to site development, regional cooperation, and agricultural integration.
