About NAWARO® BioEnergie AG

Who We Are

NAWARO® BioEnergie AG was founded in 2005 by experienced managers and entrepreneurs. Our company plans, constructs, and operates BioEnergy Parks that generate energy from biomass on an industrial scale. Our approach is unique in the realm of renewable energy production. The first BioEnergy Park will go into operation in 2006 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and further facilities are being planned.

This is how the NAWARO® process works: special energy plants such as corn supplied by regional farmers are fermented in our facilities to produce biogas. This gas is then used to generate electricity that is fed into the power grid. Fermentation residues are processed to yield a high-quality depot fertilizer. Read more about the NAWARO® process here.

Our Vision

We aim to demonstrate that renewable energy from biomass can be generated profitably, economically, and reliably on an industrial scale.

NAWARO Bioenergie AGEnergy from renewable sources will be of increasing importance in the years ahead. Soaring energy prices, limited resources for conventional forms of energy production, and global warming have already made regenerative energy sources indispensable. Thanks to our industrial model, we can generate CO2-neutral energy from biomass. And our entrepreneurial concept fosters new economic and employment opportunities in economically disadvantaged regions. At each new facility site, as many as fifty jobs for qualified personnel are created.

Our Mission

Our goal is to lead the market, both technologically and economically, when it comes to operating industrial biogas plants in Germany. To achieve this goal we will construct several BioEnergy Parks in northern and eastern Germany, where we are already cooperating with agricultural enterprises in various regions. In the longer term, we also plan to extend our operations to regions outside of Germany and Europe.

NAWARO® BioEnergie AG has now, for the first time, created the basis for generating bioenergy in Germany on an industrial scale. Our industrial approach means that we can ensure efficient, baseload-compatible, controllable energy production. In doing so, we also offer an appropriate response to the challenges of the future and make a contribution to achieving greater independence from developments on the international commodity markets. And that is something that makes sense for individual companies as well as for national economies.
