The Broader Context

NAWARO®’s innovative concept covers the entire valued-added chain related to generating energy from biomass. In order to secure the basis for planning reliability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency for all those involved, we enter into long-tern contracts with our partners, the suppliers of raw materials and the power companies, into whose grids our power is fed.

Our Producer Concept: Fair and Cost-effective

NAWARO Bioenergie AGWe buy large quantities of energy crops from agricultural producers in the surroundings of our BioEnergy Parks. During full operation, each Park needs approximately 300 000 metric tons of corn silage, 60 000 metric tons of manure, and nearly 20 000 metric tons of grain per year.

We guarantee this supply by entering into ten-year contracts and multiannual price-fixing agreements with farmers. Our partners from the agricultural sector can thus plan production and supply based on long-term parameters.

This opens up opportunities for smaller farms to profit from innovative environmental technologies. With this concept, NAWARO® BioEnergie AG contributes to realizing profitability and competitiveness for agricultural enterprises in the regions around our parks.

At out site in Penkun (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) close to the German-Polish border, we have already signed contracts with local producers securing more than ninety percent of the biomass required.

Support for our partners in farming is not limited to planting, cultivation, and harvesting of energy plants. When signing supply contracts, we also arrange to make early, high-volume advance payments and to subsidize silo costs, so that small farms can stay solvent. On request, we also assist our contract partners in purchasing and financing seeds and applying for EU subsidies.

Furthermore, our logistics concept is designed to minimize the volume of supply transports to our sites, in the interests of suppliers and local residents. Since we process fermentation byproducts to make depot fertilizer, storage of such residues or spreading them on fields is avoided, so that the NAWARO® process forms a closed cycle of organic matter.

NAWARO® depot fertilizer is an independent, high-quality product that will be marketed in future on a supra-regional basis. Read more about the NAWARO® depot fertilizer here.

Our Product: A Reliable Supply of Electricity

NAWARO Bioenergie AGWhile other forms of renewable energy such as wind and solar power are subject to natural fluctuations, industrial-scale, biomass-generated electricity can be produced on a sustained basis in fixed amounts.

Our BioEnergy Parks thus supply baseload electric power that can be fed into the power grid in a stabile form. NAWARO® BioEnergie AG is therefore a reliable and attractive partner for utilities companies.
